To create these projects I learned that there are more to colors than what meets the eye. To create shadows we used different shades of blues and to crates highlights we used yellow, which is something that i would not have thought of prior to this project. Both of these projects used the techniques Trompe L’oeil. This is when something appears to be 3D when it is really just drawn. For the notebook paper project we had to look at a piece of paper that had been crumpled up and draw the shadows using the blue for the cooler colors that were the shadows and the yellow for the warm spots that we highlighted. For the candy bar drawing we had layer many unexpected colors onto each other to make it look 3D and also to really over exaggerate the other colors. For example even though I drew a Hershey's bar that had a brown wrapper I added in some purple to bring out the dark brown in the shadow.
